Casa Sailfish is located in Playa de Pesca resort with 3 bedrooms 2 of those with private bathrooms and balcony. The house has AC and fast internet of 100 mbs. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, gas stove with oven, coffee maker, toast and kitchen utensils (such as plates, glasses, knifes, spoons and forks and among other things) The house has a washing machine and dryer. It has a comfortable living room and sofa bed in case of additional guest. The house is set back on the property and has a jungle feel with lots of wildlife. The beach is 25 meters from the property entrance. Walking distance from the property Mal Pais has a grocery store, Cafe/bakery, restaurant Tierra Mar and Pizzeria. From the property you can walk to the beach, Cabo Blanco reserve, Snorkling, Fishing and SUP paddle boarding. We also have ocean kayaks available.

Such a beautiful and tranquil retreat under the canopy within earshot of ocean waves and close by to beautiful beaches. Very clean and new amenities and a wonderful host who is communicative and even made pizza in the beautiful Cabana kitchen poolside. Can’t wait to return. So glad we had 4WD in this region- consider flying in to local airport and renting nearby.

Our family of 4 stayed at Joe’s place the week before Christmas. It was the perfect get away for us- new, clean, quiet, comfortable and tucked away in a beautiful part of the Nicoya peninsula. We really needed time together and Joes place provided the perfect respite for us. He was helpful and communicative and has built a lovely oasis in mal pais. For first time visitors to CR, we were hooked and can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!

Joseph’s place is a very excellent stay. Katherine and Javier (the caretakers) are wonderful, responsive, and very nice. The location is quiet and relaxing. I would gladly stay again

Leaving a glowing review is always a double-edge sword as one might be concerned the small paradise you've uncovered will get discovered by everyone else - in this case though - we'd love nothing more but for everyone else to find out about Joe's place so that it can continue to prosper. Staying here felt like we were amongst friends - with Joe and his wife, caretaker couple Javier and Elena. It was finished late 2022 - so brand new. The architecture and design of the units are wonderful. We stayed here for 2 weeks with 2 kids (9 and 12). Its very well setup for remote work, with 100Mbit Fiber WiFi. Walking distance to beach. The 4 units share a common pool and bar area the setup is very inviting to socialize with other guests, but retreat to privacy when you prefer. The views from our balcony were spectacular. Much wildlife can be seen including monkeys, armadillos, etc. You're in the jungle! Tips: Joe pizza & Fishing Trips, (Paddle Board) Surfing, Secret beach, Fish Market.

Playa de Pesca is a DREAM and we loved every second of our one month stay. The residence we stayed in was perfect – it’s brand new, has everything you need and was so comfortable. The local area is picture postcard perfect, and the sunsets just seem to get better each night. Joe and his team are incredible hosts who couldn’t do enough to help us make us feel at home. From the welcome, to fishing trips, and freshly prepared ceviche/pizza dinners – we couldn’t have asked for anything more. We’ve already booked our second stay for later this year!

The best property in the area. We hosted our wedding at this location and could not have been happier. Our guest loved all of the homes and loved the host Joe. Joe and his staff worked so hard to ensure everyone had what they needed. The homes are beautiful, and provided good space and every room felt very comfortable having their own bathroom. The space was more than enough for our group of 20. Not a single person had even the smallest complaint on the property or the host or location. You will not be disappointed.
